Lanvin Arpege Eau de Parfum
Perfume
Lanvin Arpege Eau de Parfum is a truly classic fragrance for women, and a beautiful floral aldehyde. In 1927, Jeanne Lanvin created the perfume Arpege and dedicated it to her daughter Marguerite: the story of a mother's love for her child. The bottle, designed by Armand- Albert Rateau, the famous decorator of the twenties and thirties, strongly reflects the Art Deco culture of the time, as showed by the pure form of the black sphere, and the 'godron' top which is also found on all the furniture in the Lanvin boutiques. Top Notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Neroli. Heart Notes: Ylang- ylang, Rose, Iris, Jasmine. Base Notes: Patchouli, Vetyver, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Styrax. Our Fragrance Expert says: 'Created as a gift from mother to daughter, Arpège is a timeless aldehydic floral with warm, nutty and vetiver tones. It may be less showy than other perfumes of its style (e.g. Chanel's N°5), but what it lacks in grandeur it makes up for in comfort, displaying over-ripe flowers bathed in a velvety sheen. There's a reason why this one is a classic - it is simply very good.'
