In the gardens of a nineteeth-century villa on the Isolino, a tiny island in the heart of Lake Maggiore in Northern Italy, is where the tale of the Eau d'Italie Au Lac Eau de Toilette begins. These elegant gardens surrounded by placid lake waters were to become the scene of a short but passionate love affair between the romantic princess Vittoria Colonna and the vibrant young painter Umberto Boccioni whose painting were at the heart of Futurism. It was an encounter of different cultural and aesthetics in the golden years of the early 20th century, set against a magnificent landscape. In tribute, the Au Lac fragrance is an avant-garde, Italian floral with the qualities of a classic scent, but with an innovative contemporary twist. It is the scent of an Italian garden in the middle of summer, the air filled with the scent of flowers and surrounded by the peaceful waters of a lake.A truly feminine floral with the vibrant, dynamic frame of a Futurist painting.
